Booth level awareness on EVM, VVPAT in Mangaluru North constituency from Apr 12

Mangaluru, Apr 09, 2018:  Mangaluru North Constituency Election Officer Prashanth Kumar has informed that   the booth level awareness programmes for voters on EVMs and VVPAT will be held from April 12 in the constituency.

He informed this after   a meeting with elected representatives of Mangaluru North constituency  at the MCC Meeting Hall on April 9, Monday.

The local sector officials, village accountants and other election officials will conduct awareness on EVMs and VVPAT in five to six booths every day. The awareness programme will be held in all the 245 polling booths of the constituency, he added.

Parties can seek permission for rallies, public  meets and vehicle campaigns  48 hours ahead of the programme through online mode itself, he said.

The officer also made it clear the voter’s slip given by the  respective Block level officers  are  authorised and not the one’s given by political parties.

Mohana Kumari, Assistant Election Officer of Mangaluru North constituency,   Santosh Kumari, Nodal Officer and ACP Manjunatha Shetty are entrusted with the booth level awareness works.
