Billawas Dubai distribute scholarships among needy students

Mangalore, Aug 28: Speaking at a scholarship distribution programme organized by Billawas Dubai and Northern Emirates at Shri Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple today, Janardhan Poojary, the former central minister, lauded the organization for its initiative of distributing scholarships among deserving and needy candidates. He also offered to financially assist some of the poorest students on the dais.
Scholarship worth Rs. 9 lakh was distributed among poor students. Some of them were given scholarships for medical studies. Besides, medical aid worth Rs. 1,85,000 was given to students suffering from various medical problems.
Some of the prominent people present were Jithendra Suvarna, the president of Billawas Dubai and Northern Emirates; Praveen Attavar, the vice president; Uday Kumar Kateel, the secretary; Madhava Poojary, the chief secretary; Jayashree Suvarna; Krishnappa Poojary; Vishwanath Ameen; H. S. Sairam; Muddu Moodubelle; Mohan Attavar; Jithendra Suvarna; and others.
