Bhasker Shetty case : Ear stud removed from Niranjan’s intestine through colonoscopy

Udupi, Aug 12, 2016 : The ear stud which Niranjan Bhat, the accused priest in the Bhasker Shetty murder case had swallowed in an apparent bid to commit suicide, has been removed by performing a colonoscopy procedure by doctors of the Manipal Hospital on August 11, Thursday evening.

The diamond ring and another ear stud which Bhat had swallowed  had earlier been ejected naturally.

Niranjan is likely to be discharged from hospital and produced before court today. 

Sources said the accused was shedding tears while undergoing treatment  in the hospital and was saying that  whatever he did, was done under the spell cast by someone.
