Bhasker Shetty case : Accused Srinivas Bhat, Raghavendra remanded to judicial custody

Udupi, Sep 01, 2016:  Srinivas Bhat (56) and Raghavendra (25), the father and driver respectively of Niranjan Bhat the accused priest in the businessman Bhasker Shetty murder case, who have been arrested on charges of destroying evidences, were produced before the court on August 31 after expiry of their CID custody period. The court has remanded them to judicial custody till September 6.

With this all the accused in the case including Rajeshwari, wife of  Bhasker Shetty, Navaneeth Shetty, son and Niranjan Bhat, priest are in judicial custody.

While Srinivas Bhat and Raghavendra were produced before the court on Wednesday, the court has directed the police to provide necessary treatment to Srinivas Bhat who   has a heart ailment.

The local court has already rejected the bail application of both Srinivas and Raghavendra and both are expected to move the high court for bail.

Blood samples collected for DNA test :
The blood  samples of Gulabi Shetty , mother of Bhasker Shetty  and Suresh Shetty, the brother of the deceased have been collected  so as to match the same with the  so called remains of  Bhasker Shetty. The  blood samples were handed over to the CID in the court on Wednesday.
