Betting: Two arrested, Rs. 2.06 lakh seized

Mangaluru, Dec 07 2018: Mangaluru City Central Crime Branch (CCB) police on Thursday busted a cricket betting racket by arresting two persons and seized Rs. 2.06 lakh in cash from them.
An official communiqué here said the CCB police on getting information about betting during India–Australia test match, raided Montero House at Chembugudde in Ullal police limits. The team arrested Alwyn Kiran Montero, 23, and Kishore D’souza, 39, a resident of Pilar. The team also seized seven mobile phones, a tablet computer, two laptops, and betting entry books.
The alleged kingpin, Vishwas, is at large, the police said.
CCB inspector Shantharam, Ullal police inspector Gopikrishna and police sub-inspectors Shyamsundar and Kabbalraj led the team.
