Belthangady: 2 yr old Dithiya suffering from liver failure needs help of donors

Belthangady, Sep 05, 2015: The parents  of two year old baby Dithiya Balanja are completely shattered and desperate ever since their darling daughter was diagnosed with liver failure.  Her father Manohar Balanja, a journalist based in Belthangady and her mother, a nurse by profession are distraught and are at a loss not knowing how to arrange funds for the treatment of their little daughter.

Family sources of Dithiya have informed that the  girl now needs emergency liver transplantation at the Narayana Hridayalaya at Bengaluru. Doctors have also informed the family that they have to deposit Rs 16 lakhs before admitting the child. The child is presently in the ICU and  search is on for liver donors.  The entire medical expenses may run upto a minimum Rs 25 lakhs.

Already,  the Maharashtra  Kannada Patrakartara Sangha is striving hard to raise funds for the treatment of Dithiya as per the request of the Belthangady Working Journalists Association.
