Udupi, Apr 17, 2017: Kamalamma (90), was running a hotel ‘Ajjammana Hotel’ near MGM college Udupi serving food for her beloved college students and locals for the over 6 decades. She is survived by a son and six daughters.
Ajjamma was serving food to MGM college students by her own hands knowing their needs and as service to the society instead of making her hotel as business centre. Proclaimed as affectionate, loving, caring, beyond all understanding, Kamalamma, known as ‘Ajjamma’ in Udupi passed away April 15, Saturday.
Old students of MGM College were used to arrive to meet Ajjamma enquiring her health and happiness as she catered the needs of thousands of students.
She was also proud of the achievements of MGM college and its students. Old students of the college recently renovated her hotel and appreciated her concern for humans.
