Mangaluru Sep 29, 2016:  Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy will organize Beary Language Day celebration at the Academy office in Attavar on October 3. In this connection, a week long programme will be conducted in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasargod districts in order to promote Beary language, informed BA Mohammed Hanif President of the Academy.

 

 Addressing media persons at his office on September 29 Thursday he said that Beary Language Day is being celebrated to commemorate the formation of the Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy on October 3,  2007.

 District Wakf Advisory Committee President SMR Rashid will inaugurate the programme. President of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy Janaki S Brahmavar will launch Book sale campaign while President of Konkani Sahitya Academy Roy Castelino will release hand bill to promote Beary language.

 President of Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy Mohammed Hanif will preside and Prof VV Navuda and BA Ichlangodu will be the chief guest.

 During the week long programme to be held in three districts from October 3 to 9, various competitions will be organized for students and public. Those who have contributed significantly to Beary language and literature will be honoured as part of the programmes, said Mohammed Hanif.

 Registrar Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy Umarabba, Yusuf Waqtaar, Mohammed Zakaria and others were present.
