Mangaluru, July 5, 2016 : A man from Bantwal named Mohammad Bilal has been arrested by the Bunder police on July 4, Monday in connection with a case of theft from a shop near Ramakrishna Ashram at Monkey Stand in Mangaluru.
A cash of Rs 19,000, four batteries and cheques of Bharath Bank and Syndicate Bank were stolen from the Subrahmanya Auto Engineering Works on the night of June 16.
Based on a tip off the police arrested Bilal in Bantwal and seized the four stolen batteries worth Rs 42,000 a scooter and Rs 15,000 cash from him.
