Mangaluru, Jan 03, 2018: Bantwal-Panemangalore Block Congress leaders have come down heavily on Harikrishna Bantwal, a former Congressman who is now with the BJP, for oft and again challenging DK District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai to swear in the name of the Lord at Dharmasthala that he has not offended senior leader Janardhana Poojary.
The party leaders who addressed press persons at the DCC office here on January 3, Wednesday said Harikrishna Bantwal has no moral right to even speak about Dharmasthala.
Speaking on the occasion, Bantwal Block Congress Committee Spokesperson Jagadish Koila said "the very same Harikrishna Bantwal had once earlier spoken against Dharmasthala. Now him asking Rai to swear at Dharmasthala is ridiculous" he observed.
"Harikrishna Bantwal is left with no political base and so he is unnecessarily raking up the issue," said Jagadish.
Bantwal Block Congress President Mayilappa Salian, Panemangalore Block Congress President Abbas Ali, Bantwal TP President Chandrahas Karkera, Bantwal APMC Vice President Chandrashekhar Poojari Baltila, Bantwal Youth Congress President Prashath Kulal and others were present.
