Bantwal, Dec 4, 2016: Great Prabhat Circus, is the one circus company from Karnataka as old as 75 years; On Dec 2, Friday it pitched tent in Bantwal town not far from Mangaluru city.
The circus, which is known for many admirable circus items in particular well trained and groomed animals. The circus, claims to have at least 150 dedicated performers. Items like globe riding, clowning, flying trapeze, motor bike jumping, sky walk etc. The circus plans to be here for 40 days during which shows will be held at 1, 4, and 7 pm.
Local municipal president, Ramakrishna Alva, inaugurated the performance on Friday at 7 pm. Taluk panchayat president, Chandrahas Karkera, zilla panchayat member, Chandraprakash Shetty, Land Development Bank president, Sudarsha Jain, taluk panchayat vice president, Abbas Ali, municipal councillors, Chanchalakshi, Vasanti Chandappa, Prabha Salian, J acinta, and others were present. This will provide an opportunity to modern people and kids to know something about the old world of circus through the festives season ahead.
