Bantwal, Sep 09, 2020: Bantwal police who raided a house at Madda in B Mooda village on September 8, Tuesday have seized ganja leaves, buds and pieces of ganja plant found in two polythene bags. The seized goods are valued at Rs 19,97,400 and weighed 39.94 kg.
One person named Ahmed Sabith (30) of Mooda village has been arrested while another accused Muhammad Ansar has managed to flee.
In another operation the DCIB sleuths have seized 880 grams of ganja from an autorickshaw near Benjantimar Cross in Veerakambha village. One person named Muhammad Astu alias Muhammad Ali (28) has been arrested. The accused is a resident of Kasargod and his autorickshaw, mobile phone and ganja all worth Rs 98,500 has been seized.
In both incidents, cases have been registered under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
