Bantwal, July 28, 2020:     Bantwal Town police  have thwarted an attempt to transport a cow in an inhumane way  in an Omni vehicle at Marnabailu  on July 27, Monday night and have   rescued the animal.

The  police on patrol duty on noticing the speeding Omni had signalled the driver to stop. However, when the vehicle  sped forth, the cops gave it a chase. The accused fled the place when the  Omni came to an abrupt halt after it rammed against the wall of a shop at Nandavara. On inspection the police found the cow tied inside the vehicle in an inhuman way.

Further investigations are underway.
