Bantwal : Brave boy fights python which curled over his body

Mangaluru, Oct 05, 2016: In a shocking case reported from Kolake near Sajipa in Bantwal taluk on October 4, Tuesday,  an 11 year old boy  had a miraculous escape after he bravely fought against  a python  which fell over him and curled over his body.

 

Vaishakh, a  class 5 student of the Sajipa Adarsha English Medium School  was on way to his grandfather’s  house  after returning home from school, as usual. At around  6 pm when he was returning home, a python which emerged from the bushes curled up over him.

Though Vaishakh  fell on the road, with great presence of  mind he began to fight it and finding a stone nearby used it to crush the snake’s face. The severely injured snake let  off the boy.

A neighbouring  girl named Harshitha who rushed to the spot on hearing Vaishak’s screams was prevented  by the boy from coming near him. Finally, once the snake moved away  the girl helped him reach home.

The boy has suffered bite injuries in several parts of his body and is presently undergoing treatment in the ICU of the  Fr Muller’s Hospital. His father has informed that he is out of danger.
