Bantwal : 7 injured as autorickshaw rolls into gorge

Bantwal, Nov 22 2017:  Seven persons including the driver of an autorickshaw were injured when the vehicle went out of control of the driver and landed in a gorge at Padibagilu Junction on Kalladka-Kanhangad Road on November 21, Tuesday night.



A total of six passengers were travelling in the autorickshaw of Vishwanath of Muliya when tragedy struck. It is said though the driver had halted the autorickshaw near Padibagilu Junction, it moved  suddenly and rolled into the 20 feet deep gorge.

Locals  had to struggle to rescue the injured and  admit them to hospital. The injured who were provided first aid at Vittla Government Hospital were later shifted to  a hospital in Mangaluru.

How sad , accidents are increasing these days as the roads are neatly tarred the people drive uncontrollably become prone to such incidents,.
