Baliga case: ’padayatra’ today May 2, demanding arrests

Mangaluru, May 02, 2016: It is reported that the "Deshapremi Sanghatanegala Okkoota", a federation of associations of students, Dalits, women activists and non-governmental organisations, will take out a padayatra on May 2, Monday in Mangaluru at 4 pm, demanding the immediate arrest of Naresh Shenoy, prime suspect in the murder of RTI activist Vinayak Baliga.

Okkoota convenor Santosh Bajal in a release here said that even after a month of the murder, the police are not able to arrest the prime accused in the case. The Okkoota has decided to take out the padayatra from the residence of late Baliga to the office of the Commissioner of Police.

It is really something strange that so many days are past Baliga’s murder but no trace pf the criminals
