Bajrang Dal activists raid rave party in Ullal

Mangalore, Aug 14: Bajrang Dal activists reportedly raided a rave party that was being held at Maharani Farm Guest House in Ullal on the night of Aug 13 Saturday. Sources say that packets of ganja and other drugs were found at the venue. The Ullal police have registered a case. 

Reportedly, Munna of Mangalore had booked a room at Maharani Farm Guest House to celebrate a birthday. However, the party continued till late into the night. Someone sent a message to Bajrang Dal activists that a rave party, involving boys and girls, was being held at the venue. 

 

 

 

 

 

Bajrang Dal activists raided the venue at 2:00 a.m. and found 30 young people, consuming drugs and dancing. Four of them have accused the Bajrang Dal activists of assaulting them physically, owing to which they had to be admitted into a private hospital in Ullal. 

The Maharani Farm Guest House belongs to Suresh Jain of Mangalore, and a group of students from different colleges were at the party. As soon as the news spread that Bajrang Dal activists had raided the place, Ullal police rushed to the spot; but by then, the Bajrang Dal activists had left the place. 

The police have seized 20 two-wheelers and arrested a few persons. Mr. Jain has lodged a complaint against Sharan Pumpwell, the state convener of Bajrang Dal, for damaging his property. 

Reportedly, the son of a senior BJP leader was also present at the rave party, but he fled the scene as soon as the Bajrang Dal activists reached the place.
The police have registered a case against Bajrang Dal.
