The Bajpe branch of Bank of Maharashtra was inaugurated by Allan C. A. Pereira, the president and managing director of this bank, on Monday. During the occasion, he also spoke about the aims and objectives of the bank.
The Bank of Maharashtra is now celebrating its Platinum Jubilee. It has 1,433 branches all over India, including the recently inaugurated branch in Bajpe. About 802 branches, including the new branch, offer core banking facilities. The Bank of Maharashtra has organized around 50,000 self-help units and gives special importance to small industries and agriculture. This bank is also the winner of the Well Management Award in West Zone.
Mr. Pereira spoke about the various schemes offered the bank. He informed the audience that the bank also proposes to have an ATM at Bajpe Airport.
Prominent residents of Bajpe such as Harinakshi, the village Panchayat president; Fr. Mathais Pereira, the priest of Bajpe Church; and many others were present at the inaugural ceremony.
