Rudraiah, a BJP worker, was requested by Congress workers to shout slogans against CM B. S. Yeddyurappa in exchange for Rs. 100 when he was under the influence of alcohol.

Unfortunately, BJP workers shot video clippings of Rudraiah shouting anti-Yeddyurappa slogans and threatened him that they would inform his family that he is in the habit of taking alcohol.

Terrified of his family members and BJP workers, Rudraiah took the extreme step of jumping into the well at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The Kadri police, who have been informed of this incident, have taken him into custody.
