Mangalore, Sep 21: Vijayakumar Shetty, the ex MLA, said that an MLAs meeting was recently held at Circuit House in Mangalore, which was attended only by BJP MLAs and Padmanabha Kottary, the district president of BJP.

He was addressing reporters during a press meet held at the District Congress office on September 21, Tuesday. He wanted to know why DC V. Ponnuraj was forced to attend the meeting if the BJP wants to call it a party meeting.


Stating that the district-in-charge minister’s involvement in illegal sand transportation is no longer a secret, he said that the minister had proposed a revision of sand prices, which put common people into trouble and made sand unavailable.


The highway of the district has been in a bad shape for a long time and the district-in-charge minister blames the central government of not releasing the funds every time he makes a speech, said Mr. Shetty and criticized the minister for his inability to utilize the funds released for the development of the highway.


He added that the BJP will break all records owing to the presence of 7 ministers involved in criminal activities.
