Mangaluru, Feb 26, 2020: Senior Congress leader and former minister B Ramanatha Rai has lashed out at the BJP for terming the Congress ’dead and unfit to be in the opposition." He said he would like to say that the BJP is not fit to be in power.
Speaking to reporters at the party office here on February 26, Wednesday, Rai launched a tirade against the BJP leaders for criticising the Congress and reminded the former that they had come to power through Operation Lotus.
He also highlighted the various welfare initiatives of the erstwhile Siddaramaiah led Congress government in the state.
He maintained that the Congress Party which always strived for the welfare of the masses was a stable party though it won elections at times and even lost some elections. He further reminded the BJP people that power is not permanent.
District Congress President Harish Kumar, Corporators Shashidhar Hegde, Naveen D’Souza and others were present.
