Mangaluru, Mar 05, 2018: The BJP aims to incite people and also divide the society on communal lines through its Jana Suraksha Yatra, alleged DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai.
Speaking to reporters here on March 5, Monday, Rai blamed the BJP and the Sangh Parivar for the frequent communal tension in the district and said the party had no moral right to hold such a Yatra.
The BJP leaders have not used the Yatra to spread the message of speech and the leaders are only engaged in giving hate speeches, alleged Rai. Refuting the BJP allegation that the Congress was backing the killers of members of Hindu outfits, Rai said the Jana Suraksha Yatra is aimed at disturbing peace in the society. He also pointed out how a tableau with the caption Siddu Darbar was seized at Sullia.
DCC President Harish Kumar, Mayor Kavitha Sanil, Chief Whip Shashidhar Hegde, A C Vinayraj, Ibrahim Kodijal and others were present.
