Mangaluru, May 6, 2018: The BJP manifesto for Dakshina Kannada district for the upcoming Assembly election was released on May 6, Sunday by Uttar Pradesh Rural Development Minister Mahendra Kumar Singh.

Speaking on the occasion, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, said the BJP manifesto speaks of development that aims to reach each and everyone in Dakshina Kannada district and added that the manifesto was prepared after eliciting the views of the people.

Regarding the PM backing the Yettinahole Project during his Tumakuru rally, Nalin said the Prime Minister had spoken about Netravathi-Hemavathi linking project. He also made it clear that the BJP was against the Yettinahole project.

Former MLC Monappa Bhandary, Brijesh Chowta and others were present.

The BJP manifesto speaks about promoting tourism and adventure sports and development of beaches in Suratkal, Panambur, Tannirbavi, improving facilities at Subrahmanya, Dharmasthala and other religious places, framing of a sand policy and fixing government price for sand, inclusion of Tulu in eighth schedule, development of SEZ to create more job opportunities, runway expansion of Mangaluru Airport, upgradation of KSRTC bus  stand at Bejai and widening  of Mangaluru-Karkala road.
