BJP jatha to Yettinahole - today Oct 10

Mangaluru, Oct 10, 2015 : Addressing media,  BJP district president Pratap Simha Nayak said district unit of BJP along with various organisations and religious leaders will organise a jatha to Yettinahole in protest against the Yettinahole project.


The jatha will be led by Nalin Kumar Kateel MP, Pratap Simha Nayak said that the jatha would begin from Brahmabaidarkala Garodi  October 10 at 9.30 am and would pass through Farangipete, Thumbe, BC Road, Soorikumeru, Budoli, Perne, Uppinangadi, Valalu, Bailangadi, Golitottu, Nelyadi, Enjira, Gundya and reach Yettinahole on October 13.

Public meetings will be held at BC Road, Uppinangadi and Nelyadi in the evenings on October 10, 11, 12 respectively. The jatha will conclude at Yettinahole on October 13 at 6 am, with a valedictory function, Nayak added.

The rally will press to stop  the Yettinahole project, providing complete information on the project to the people of Dakshina Kannada district, a discussion on pros and cons of the projects with experts and general public, a probe into the alleged misappropriation of funds in the project and a clarification to the people, whether it is possible for the government to provide 24 TMC water as promised.

Nayak further said that the members of Yettinahole movement and representatives of various organisations would take part in the jatha, along with BJP leaders and workers. He meanwhile requested the public to take part in large numbers.  MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, BJP district unit Vice President Jagadish Adhikari and Secretary Sanjiv Mathandoor were present among others.
