Mangalore, June 12: Padmanabha Kottari, the district president of the BJP, said that the development projects launched by the BJP have disturbed opposition parties that are now determined to uproot the BJP-led state government by hook or by crook. Stating that the BJP government has done in 3 years what the Congress could not do in 60 he said that the BJP-led state government has launched a number of developmental schemes at the district, taluk, panchayat, and corporation levels.











Addressing BJP activists at Sangha Niketa in Mannagudda at the BJP’s general meeting on June 11, he said that the BJP-led state government has implemented a number social welfare schemes for the benefit of minorities, farmers, and poor students.

Explaining his statement, he said that the government is providing farmers loans at low rates of interest and has earmarked more than Rs. 368 crore for the benefit of the Muslim community and Rs. 50 crore for the benefit of the Christian community. He also said that the government is mulling with the idea of providing houses for more than 1000 toddy tappers soon.

Expressing his support for the anti-corruption movement launched by Baba Ramdev and Anna Hazare, he said that the central government has done nothing to bring back Indian wealth illegally stashed in foreign banks.

Suresh Babu, Sulochana, Shailaja K. T., Nalin Kumar Kateel, Kumara Kotian, and Sanjeev Matandoor were also present.
