Mangalore, May 10: District-in-charge Minister Krishna J. Palemar said during a press meet held at the BJP office near PVS Circle on May 10, Monday that the BJP-led state government will  complete two successful years of administration at the end of this month. He added that the state government has conducted public interaction programmes at the hobli levels to reach out to the common man. Moreover, the government has designed schemes and provided benefits that had never been provided by any other government in the past 50 years, he said.

Speaking about the achievements of CM Yeddyurappa’s government, he said that the government is working for the development of the 72km Mani – Sampaje road for which Rs 176 crore has been recently sanctioned. In addition, Rs 1,126 crore has been sanctioned for other developmental projects. The projects will be inaugurated by the chief minister himself on May 23, he announced. 

He also said that the government has agreed to reduce the proposed 60m wide road for the national highway to 45m, a move that has benefited more than 3,000 building and house owners located along the highway. 

In response to the people’s problems as presented by the new CDP of Mangalore, the government has agreed to bring CDP for development in order to avoid problems. MLA Yogesh Bhat, Mayor Rajani Dugganna, Shankar Bhat, Deputy Mayor Rajendra, and the town planning officers have also agreed to the new CDP plan. 

Palemar also requested the people to cast their votes peacefully and to vote wisely. He advised people to see the achievements of the party and elect efficient representatives.
