Mangaluru, Sept 8, 2019: Senior Congress leader and former minister B Ramanatha Rai has alleged that some people are hurling baseless allegations against former DC Sasikanth Senthil just becuase they could not resort to irregularities in sand mining after the administration under the leadership of Senthil had launched the Sand Bazaar App.
Speaking to reporters at the Congress office here on September 8, Sunday he said Senthil had discharged his duties very effectively at all times, be it a natural calamity or incidencts that disturbed social harmony.
He also alleged that attempts were being made to brand him anti-national as he has resigned citing danger to the building blocks of democracy.
Lashing out at the Prime Minister, Rai said when the nation was suffering from floods, the PM was touring nations and has failed to announce compensation for the affected people. He has no interest in solving the problems of the people, but is only interested in winning elections, Rai said.
