Mangaluru, Apr 11, 2015: An attempt made by some contractors to stock the pipes meant for ISPRL pipeline project, right in the midst of a private land measuring about 18 acre in front of the Katipalla Shree Mahaganapathi Temple was stalled by locals on April 11, Saturday.
It has been gathered that the land owner had not yet received any notice regarding the works though the KIADB has submitted a report stating all processes are complete and land has been acquired.
Those who had come to lay the pipelines were seen showing files stating that notice has been served. Meanwhile Permude Panchayat PDO has stated that the Panchayat has not given no-objection certificate to anyone to dig land for pipeline works.
It is learnt people who had come to stock the pipes stated that they were instructed to do so by a KIADB personnel though the latter has denied this.
