Art Beat Darbaar-e-Kala inaugurated at Aloysius College

Mangalore, Feb 5: Art Beat Darbaar-e-Kala 2010, an inter-collegiate cultural fest organized by the arts faculty of St Aloysius College, Mangalore, was inaugurated at Eric Mathais Hall (IT Block) of the college by Sathish Prabhu, the  Director of IMPEL Overseas Education, Mangalore.

Fr. Joseph Rodrigues SJ, the Rector of St Aloysius Institutions, related the glorious history of Darbaar-e-Kala during the Moghul era. He said that cultural festivals such as Art Beat will greatly help students to develop their interactive skills. They will help students construct an ideal society. He urged students to grab the opportunities presented by Art Beat Darbaar-e-Kala and develop their talents.

Dr. Rose Veera D’Souza, the staff coordinator, delivered the key-note address. A Roshan,  student coordinator, introduced the guests. Prof Ligoury Mendonca welcomed the gathering. Priyanka Jayaraj proposed the vote of thanks.
