Arrangements made for Advani’s visit to Mangalore tomorrow

Mangalore, Oct 30, 2011: DC Channappa Gowda issued a press release stating that senior BJP leader and former deputy prime minister L. K. Advani will arrive on Oct 31 Monday with his Jan Chethana Yatra. 

Advani will arrive by special flight from Bangalore and will land at Bajpe Airpot where he will address a press conference at 10:00 a.m. Later at 11:00 a.m. he will address a gathering on Nehru Maidan and will travel in the ratha from Mangalore through the national highway toward Mulky. 

At Mulky, he will participate in a programme, after which he will proceed to Hejamadi and Udupi to participate in several events. 

Advani is scheduled to enter Karnataka on Oct 30 Sunday and will address a public gathering in Bangalore. 

To make things easier for Advani’s yatra and avoid traffic blocks, traffic will be diverted from certain routes tomorrow.

Vehicles will be prevented from entering the road from Bajpe Airport to Circuit House. Vehicle movement will also be restricted from Circuit House – Karnataka Polytechnic – KPT – Nanthoor – Shivabhag – Agnes – Balmatta – Ambedkar Circle – Hampankatta – AB Shetty Circle. Vehicles will also be prevented from entering the road stretch from A. B. Shetty Circle – Hampankatta – Bavutagudda Road – Dr. Ambedkar Circle – Balmatta – St. Agnes – Shivabagh – Nanthoor – KPT – Kuntikana – Kottara. 

Vehicular movement will also be restricted from Kottara to Mulky. 

Parking facility will be provided for people attending the event on Nehru Maidan near Old Kent Road, Mangaladevi Road, near the post office, and on Rosario Road.
