Speaking at a protest meet held on the occasion, DYFI District Vice President and Honorary President of the Association BK Imtiyaz alleged that the app based taxi drivers were being harassed and threatened by some taxi and auto drivers at the railway station though the fact is that the app based drivers come to the station only  to pick up passengers whenever they get a call. These app based drivers are working legally and are duly paying taxes to the government, he said.

He also alleged that the harassment of the app based drivers was continuing  due to the silence of the district administration. He further sought protection to the app based taxi drivers who come to the railway station to pick up passengers.
