Mangaluru, June 15 2016: Reports state that brother of Anupama Shenoy, (who recently resigned as Deputy Superintendent of Police of Kudligi sub-division, Ballari district), Achyut Shenoy, said on June 14, Tuesday that his sister was firm on meeting Governor Vajubhai R. Vala and president of the All India Congress Committee Sonia Gandhi and apprising them of reasons leading to her resignation.
Achyut Shenoy, who is based at Uchila village in Udupi district, also claimed that his sister Anupama Shenoy had first submitted a resignation letter in which she had given all details leading to her resignation and also written about the liquor mafia and Minister P.T. Parameshwar Naik’s alleged support to them.
“But higher officials in the Police Department rejected it and told her to cite personal reasons for resigning,” he claimed. Hence, she had to submit a second resignation letter citing personal reasons for her resignation. “There should be a probe into where the first letter of resignation went,” he said.
However, in Bengaluru, Home Minister G. Parameshwara, said the Home Department had not received any resignation letter prior to the one that cited personal reasons.
