Mangaluru Feb 22, 2016: Convenor of Pattabhishekha Mahotsava Samithi Dr.P Keshavanath said that  the anointment ceremony of the new pontiff of Kadali Yogeshwar (Jogi) Mutt will be held on March 7th in the Mutt premises.

Speaking to the press at Goraksha Mini Hall Kadri on  Feb 22, Monday he said that  Yogi Shri Shri Nirmalnath has been elected as the new pontiff of Kadali Mutt. The Zhundi consisting of him and other seers will enter the city of Mangalore at Kottara Chowki on Feb 26th.

The Zundi will be  reaching Yogeshwar Mutt via Kottara-Urva Store, Ladyhill-Carstreet, Hampankatta-PVS-Bunts Hostel-Mallikatte-Kadri Manjunatha temple, he added.

He also said that, several cultural and spiritual programmes are slated to be held from Feb 26th at Mutt premises. Hore Kanike procession led by Sri Vinayananda will leave from Mangaladevi on Feb 28th .

The present pontiff and the new Peetadhipathi of Kadali Yogeshwar Mutt will be felicitated on March 6th, said Dr. P. Keshavnath

Secretary of Pattabhishekha Mahatsava Samithi  Sathish Kumar Jogi, Adviser M Ramachandra, President of Karnataka Jogi Samaja Sudharaka Sangha Kiran Kumar Jogi, K Suresh treasurer and others were present.

According to P. Keshavanath, convener, Paryaya Raja Pattabhisheka Mahotsava Samithi, the new peetadhipathi was elected at the Kumbha Mela of 2015 at Nashik as per the tradition. Later, he started his Zhundi (yatra) with other seers on foot to Mangaluru. The group would have traversed more than 1,100 km on foot before entering Mangaluru.
