Annamalai to be next Dakshina Kannada SP ? Officer denies rumours

Mangaluru, June 20,2017 : Rumours are doing the rounds that Chikkamagaluru SP Annamalai who has earlier served as SP of Udupi district would be transferred to Dakshina Kannada as its SP in the wake of the recent untoward incidents at Kalladka. Sources also revealed that the suggestion to transfer Annamalai to the district was put forth by DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai during his interaction with ADGP (Law and Order).

Annamalai 2 It is also being stated that the government was not happy with which the Police Department had handled the Kalladka incident. There is also a general feeling that an officer like Annamalai who is known to be a daring and bold officer, should be posted in the district to keep disruptive elements at check and also in view of the upcoming assembly elections.

However, SP Annamalai has clarified that he has not received any information regarding his transfer.
