Mangaluru, Nov 23, 2015 : The 2015 edition of Alva’s Nudisiri, a literary and cultural fest, will be  held at the Sundari Anand Alva campus of Alva’s Educational Institutions, Moodbidri from November 26 to 29 under the aegis of the Alva’s Education Foundation. The event will be inaugurated by Dr Veena Shantheshwara, a renowned writer from Dharwad.

Informing this to reporters here on November 23, Monday,  Dr M Mohan Alva, Chairman of the Foundation said  veteran scholar Dr TV Venkatachala Shastri will preside over the programme. The theme of this year’s Nudisiri is ‘ Karnataka-Hosathanada Hudukaata.’ (Karnataka- The Search for Novelty).

Dr. Alva also informed that  as many as ten achievers  will be conferred the Alva’s Nudisiri Award 2015. Dr Bannanje Govindacharya, Dr Sumanthindra Nadiga, Dr. B.N. Sumitra Bhai,  ( literature), Leelavathi Baipadittaya ( Yakshagana),  Rajendra Singh Babu (films),  R K Padmanabha (classical music),  Eshwara Daithota (Journalism),  Honnappachar (sculpture), Sayyed Salauddin Pasha ( cultural service) and Varthooru Narayan Reddy (agriculture).

The Nudisiri conference hall has been named after veteran poet and writer Nadoja  Kayyara Kinhanna Rai, Dr Alva informed.

“Alva’s Vidyarthi Siri-2015’ will be held  at Ratnakaravani Vedike on November 26, Dr Alva said and added that the event will be inaugurated by national film award winner P Sheshadri.
