Kundapur: June 22, 2015: Even as Udupi police arrested the accused in the Akshata murder case, protest continues in Byndoor over the incident.  Former Chief Minister and current MP of Byndoor-Shivamogga B S Yeddyurappa made a visit to the house of Akshatha Devadiga on Monday, June 22 and assured her parents of financial assistance from the government.

Speaking to media personals BSY Said “I was following up the case from the beginning and now the police has arrested, they must take stringent action and function efficiently in the future so that such incidents do not repeat again. The crime rate has also increased in this region, he added.

 

BSY assured the parents to give the financial support and has asked BJP Byndoor president to adopt her sister after her SSLC for higher education. Compensation of Rs. 3 Lakh will be paid from DC’s fund and Rs. 5 Lac from MP fund for the road. The District administration will start government bus service to the area.


Byndoor BJP President Sukumar Shetty, BJP district president Thingale Vikramarjuna Hegde, Zilla Panchayat member Geethanjali Suvarna, Secretary Gururaja Shetty, Deepak Kumar Shetty, Sadashiva Paduvary  and Suresh Bartavadi were present.
