Akshatha who was reported missing on September 21, 2013 was found dead three days later  at Mulihitlu, on the banks of a river. Akshatha’s college mate Madan  who too went missing has not yet been traced.

The protestors  alleged that Akshatha did not commit suicide but it was a case of murder. BJP leader Pradeep Shetty who too was part of the protest  warned of a NH bundh near Adyar if the police failed to  solve the case and trace Madan within a month.

Akshatha’s mother Rajeevi also participated in the protest. Later, a memorandum was submitted to the  police  officials seeking a CID investigation into the case.

There are so many cases where they don’t get justice to the family. The public may forget as the time passes but for the mother ts not possible . the criminal has to be punished .
