Advocate Fazal Rahim appointed President of Puttur Block Congress

Mangaluru, Jan 31: Dr. G Parameshwar , KPCC President has appointed Advocate Fazal Rahim as the President of Puttur Block Congress today, Jan 31, 2015.

The announcement came following the removal of the incumbent block Congress president Kavu Hemanath Shetty for anti-party activities. He had recently formed a religious outfit called Bharatiya Hindu Parishat which was widely criticized by all congress leaders including senior Congress leader and former Union minister B Janardhana Poojary. Mr. Poojary had asked the state party president to take severe action against Hemanth Shetty for launching the Hindu out BHP claiming it as against the principles of the Congress party.

Dr G Parameshwar sent an order to the district congress office appointing Advocate Fazal Rahim as the President of Puttur Block Congress  replacing K Hemanath Shetty. Kavu Hemanath Shetty was actually holding interim charge of the Puttur Block congress. Parameshwar wished Fazal Rahim at the same asked to work hard and build a strong party with the support of the senior leaders.
