Achyutan releases Gundibailu Shrinivas’s ’Mugiyada Reelu’

Mangalore April 3: Khadri S Achyutan released Gundibailu Srinivas’s book “Mugiyada Reelu” in the NGO Hall, Hampankatta on April 3, Saturday. He also felicitated the author.

“Mugiyada Reelu” is a book in two parts. The first part deals with Gundibailu Shrinivas’s memories of the workplace. The second part deals with his friends’ views about him.















The author Gundibailu Shrinivas worked as a field information officer. Introducing him, Mr. Achyuthan said that Mr. Shrinivas is a simple, life-loving man who is concerned about the welfare of the poor and the downtrodden. He has the gift of reaching out to common people and mingling with them, he said and added that his book provides information about illiteracy and the work done by him to educate the masses.

Friends, colleagues, and associates of Shrinivas shared their feelings about him on the occasion. Shivarama Pailoor, the comperer, delivered the introductory speech.

Vimala Gundibailu Shrinivas, the wife of the author; Shridhar Shetty; K P Rajendran; Mr. Sheena Shetty; Mr. Krishna Moolya; and Mr. Manajooru Manjunath were also present.
