Mangaluru, Jan 05, 2018: ADGP Kamal Panth who spoke to reporters at the City Police Commissioner’s Office on January 4, Thursday has lauded the police team which in a swift move arrested all four accused in the Deepak Rao murder case. The ADGP handed over a total cash reward of Rs 1.2 lakhs to the six policemen in appreciation of the hard work.
Those who received the cash reward are PSI Sheethal, ASI Chandrashekhar, Jeep driver Hussain, CCB Inspector Shantharam, Panambur Inspector Rafique and Home Guard Harish.
The ADGP said the case would be investigated from all angles to bring out the truth. He also stated that the Department has formed two teams, of which one will probe Deepak case, while the other team will look into the two stabbing cases reported from Suratkal and Kottara Chowki.
The ADGP said though the issue of a dispute over putting up buntings at Katipalla might have led to the crime, the true picture would emerge after the probe.
City Police Commissioner T R Suresh also spoke and said so far there is no information as to whether the accused had links with any other organisation.
SP Sudheer Kumar Reddy, former city police commissioner Chandra Sekhar were also present.
