Mangaluru, Feb 12, 2015: The local unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) took out a victory rally in the city on February 11, Wednesday to celebrate the thumping win of the party led by Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Assembly elections.
The party men wearing the AAP caps and holding the party symbol brooms as well as banners in hands took out a procession from Ambedkar Circle till the Mahatma Gandhi statue near the Town Hall. Earlier the rally was flagged off by Dr Marcy Pinto, Chief of the local unit of AAP. Jubilant party men were shouting slogans including ‘Paanch Saal Kejriwal.’
On conclusion of the victory march, AAP leader Alexander D’Souza offered tribute to the Mahatma by garlanding his statue.
In his address, Rajendra Kumar, treasurer said the Delhi Assembly elections win is a first step aimed at seeing an India free from Corruption. The AAP wave will soon be seen all over the nation, he predicted.
Alexander D’Souza also spoke on the occasion and said the Delhi election result has left the entire nation ecstatic and has proved that there is no room for caste politics.
