AAP holds protest demanding scrapping of ACB

Mangaluru, April 7, 2016: Activists of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) staged a protest outside the DK Deputy Commissioner’s office here on Apr 6,  Wednesday against the setting up of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), terming it as a ploy for “weakening the Lokayutka”.

In a memorandum to the Chief Minister, they demanded that the Lokayutka be strengthened and the ACB be discontinued.  Later, the activists staged a silent candlelight black band protest against the alleged murder of Vinayak Baliga, RTI activist, in front of the Town Hall.
