A tribute to Dr. Kalam - huge painting created

Udupi, July 30, 2015:  Two artists of Manipal Sand Heart Team have painted a huge watercolour painting of the former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at the Interact Building of Kasturba Medical College July 28.

 

The painting, which is 30 feet by 30 feet, was painted by Srinath Manipal and Ravi Hirebettu and it will be on display till August 2.  It was stated that the painting was started at at 2 p.m. on July 28. It is a huge painting and could complete  at 11.30 a.m. July 28.   “The picture has been painted as a tribute by the KMC and Manipal University to Dr. Kalam, who was an inspirational President and scientist,” the artists said.

The artists have used only black for the painting and retained the base colour. Poornima Baliga, Dean of KMC, visited the building and lauded the painting.
