Udupi, Sep 26, 2015: A student of MGM College lost his life in an accident involving a bike and a car near Shringeri on September 25, Friday. The deceased is Ritesh Salian (20). He was a second year BA student of the College and the only son of Hema Salian and Ramesh couple.
It is learnt that Ritesh and his six other six friends were on way to Shringeri in their bikes to Shringeri as Friday was a holiday.
It is said Ritesh was riding pillion in the bike of Aditya. However, as they were passing through the Shringeri police station limits border, a Swift car which came from the opposite direction took Aditya unawares near a curve. As he applied sudden brakes, Rithesh fell off the bike onto the road.
Meanwhile, Ritesh who sustained serious injuries though was rushed to a hospital, he breathed his last enroute.
The body was later brought to Udupi after a post-mortem. Ritesh is from a poor family with his father a hotel employee and mother a housewife.
Apart from Ritesh and Aditya, four other friends namely Allen, Gautam, Kaushik and Vijay were heading towards Shringeri when the tragedy occurred.
A tragic incident. Leisure Trip brought tragedy to his family. Let god give strength and courage to his parents to overcome this incident.
The guys when they are with their friends they forget this world and get into a different world of joy. Never take risk and see the impact. Very sad for Rithesh’s family. RIP
