80 temporary licenses for clearing 13 sand blocks in CRZ area : DC

Mangaluru, Nov 21, 2020:    Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra has said that the administration has issued 80 temporary licenses for clearing as many as 13 sand blocks in the CRZ area of the district. He said these sand blocks have been coming in the way of the movement of fishing boats in the area.

 

He said the sand was mined from the area   using boats and that all vehicles which transport sand from here will have to mandatory install  the requisite GPS and also intimate the same to the office of the Deputy Director of Department of Mines and Geology along with necessary documents. These vehicles also have to mandatorily be registered in Sand Bazar App.
