6th Graduation Day at KSHEMA

Mangalore, Mar 2: The K S Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA) held its 6th Graduation Day on March 1. Prof Sandeep Sancheti, the director of NIT-K Suratkal, conferred degrees on 9 postgraduates and 105 MBBS graduates. He spoke about the urgent need for the medical world to keep itself informed on the latest advancement in biomedical engineering.

Dr. Arunachalam Kumar, the dean of KSHEMA, made the welcome speech. Dr. Shantaram Shetty, the vice chancellor of NITTE University, delivered the keynote address.

Shri N V Hegde, the chancellor of NITTE University and president of the NITTE Educational Trust, urged the students to be grateful to their parents and teachers. He also congratulated the college for placing great emphasis on quality education.

Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, the vice dean of KSHEMA, announced the names of the graduating students. Dr. K Jayaprakash Shetty, the registrar, announced the names of the winners of academic awards.

Dr. Vijaya Shenoy, the head of the Department of Pediatrics, administered the Hippocratic Oath to the students. Dr. Y Naveen spoke of behalf of the new graduates. Dr. Sampath Kumar, the medical superintendent of KS Hegde Hospital, expressed gratitude.
