446 new Covid-19 positive cases in DK; 168 cases in Udupi on September 11

Mangaluru, September 11, 2020: 446 people from Dakshina Kannada (DK) and 168 people from Udupi tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, September 11, 2020. Seven more Covid-19 fatalities were recorded in DK and two in Udupi district today.

Among the 446 new cases in DK, 248 are from Mangaluru, 85 from Bantwal, 13 from Puttur, 23 from Sullia, 52 from Beltangady and 25 are from outside DK district. As many as 197 patients were discharged from hospital today.

With this the total Covid 19 positive cases in the DK district rose to 16,558. As many as 12,609 persons have been discharged and 3,515 cases are currently active. 434 deaths have occurred including one today.

Udupi district has reported 168 fresh cases on Friday. Among them, 96 are from Udupi, 44 from Kundapur, 26 from Karkala and two from outside the district. Now, the Udupi has a total of 13,743 cases with 1,831 still being treated at the designated hospitals. 11,784 patients recovered and discharged including 232 today. The district has reported 128 COVID-19 fatality.
