428 new Covid-19 positive cases in DK; 186 cases in Udupi on September 4

Mangaluru, September 4, 2020: 428 people from Dakshina Kannada (DK) and 186 people from Udupi tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, September 4, 2020. Seven more Covid-19 fatalities were recorded in DK and two in Udupi district today.

Among the 428 new cases in DK, 222 are from Mangaluru, 61 from Bantwal, 54 from Puttur, 45 from Sullia, 28 from Beltangady and 18 are from outside DK district. As many as 222 patients were discharged from hospital today.

With this the total Covid 19 positive cases in the DK district rose to 14,223. As many as 10,928 persons have been discharged and 2,904 cases are currently active. 391 deaths have occurred including 7 deaths today. Among 7 deaths, 4 from Mangaluru, one from Puttur and two deaths were reported from outside DK district.

Udupi district has reported 186 fresh cases on Friday. Among them, 109 are from Udupi, 42 from Kundapur, 27 from Karkala and eight from outside the district. Now, the Udupi has a total of 12,336 cases with 1,967 still being treated at the designated hospitals. 10,261 patients recovered and discharged including 332 today. The district has reported 108 COVID-19 fatality.
