In a press note, Deputy Director of Food and Civil Supplies A.T. Jayappa said that the raid followed a tip-off about illegal stocking of LPG cylinders.

The team raided the house of Anantaraj and found 32 LPG cylinders meant for domestic use and nine cylinders meant for commercial use. Anantaraj did not produce any documents related to the cylinders in his house, the release said.

Officials seized the 41 LPG cylinders and registered a case against Anantaraj under the provisions of Essential Commodities Act, the release said.
