401 new Covid-19 positive cases in DK; 168 cases in Udupi on September 12

Mangaluru, September 12, 2020: 401 people from Dakshina Kannada (DK) and 168 people from Udupi tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, September 12, 2020. Five more Covid-19 fatalities were recorded in DK and two in Udupi district today.

Among the 401 new cases in DK, 227 are from Mangaluru, 47 from Bantwal, 52 from Puttur, 30 from Sullia, 24 from Beltangady and 21 are from outside DK district. As many as 204 patients were discharged from hospital today.

With this the total Covid 19 positive cases in the DK district rose to 16,959. As many as 12,813 persons have been discharged and 3,707 cases are currently active. 439 deaths have occurred including one today.

Udupi district has reported 168 fresh cases on Saturday. Among them, 95 are from Udupi, 47 from Kundapur, 22 from Karkala and five from outside the district. Now, the Udupi has a total of 13,912 cases with 1,760 still being treated at the designated hospitals. 12,022 patients recovered and discharged including 238 today. The district has reported 130 COVID-19 fatality.
